Ndindi Nyoro

Ndindi Nyoro is a Member of Parliament representing Kiharu Constituency.

Born in a small village known as Gathukeini in December 1985, Ndindi is one of the most outspoken and vocal lawmakers in the Parliament and has made a significant impact in 2025 through his advocacy for access to quality education and fiscal accountability.

He launched the Kiharu Masomo Bora initiative, which reduced school fees in public day secondary schools to Ksh1,000 per term, supported by NG-CDF funding, benefiting approximately 14,000 students. The programme also funded school infrastructure, feeding schemes, laboratories, and libraries.

Despite being edged out as the Chairman of the Budget and Appropriations Committee in 2025, the legislator has remained vocal on policy and fiscal matters, where he has continued to champion a prudent debt management and borrowing strategy.

In recognition of his work, Nyoro won the Mizani Africa Top Trusted Leadership Award 2024 for his achievements in education and community development, cementing his reputation as a progressive leader.

His milestones in 2025 include implementing large-scale education reforms, where he was among the vocal people who pushed the government to resolve the lecturers' and university staff strike that lasted over 30 days.

Nyoro has also been championing employment and improving the terms of service for teachers.
